Zowaa – Nineveh Plain

Al-Rafidain List (389) held on Wednesday February 24^th, 2010 several meetings and seminars in “Telkepeh, Sharafiya and Alqosh” that were moderated by Mr. Yonadam Kanna: member of the House of Representatives and head of the Al-Rafidain List, Secretary General of the Assyrian Democratic Movement, and was accompanied by Mr. Basim Ballo Mayor of Telkepeh and candidate of Al-Rafidain List and Mr. George Isaac Sennacherib Branch Director of our Movement.

The first seminar was held at the Telkepeh Center and a large gathering of our people attended this seminar with Kour Bishop Yousef Benyamin, pastor of Telkepeh Church of the Assyrian Church of the East. The second seminar was held in Sharafiya with the presence of a gathering of people of the village.

Afterwards, Alqosh Cultural Association and Alqosh Cultural Club invited the delegation to two different seminars attended by members of the administrative committee and staff.

This visit included a meeting with Mr. Fayez Abed, director of Alqosh and another meeting with Mr. Khaled Chalabi one of the distinguished personalities of Alqosh.

Mr. Kanna discussed in the seminars the general political situation in the country and the ongoing political process and the role of Al-Rafidain List and the Assyrian Democratic Movement, especially in regards to the rights of our nation in the constitutions and laws of the State of Iraq.

In addition to the suffering of our people in the city of Mosul, and the process of repeated expositions that claims the lives of innocent people every day, emphasizing the development of solutions required to resolve these issues and that are the task of authorities, particularly the Central Governments the region. He also touched on the political platform of Al-Rafidain List and its campaign process.
